Plant Based Heat got its start on Highland St. This all-vegan comfort food restaurant also added a second location in downtown. I'm a big fan of the individual seating spots for those having a solo lunch. I ordered the Miso Tonkotsu ramen with pork belly, scallions, and Ajitsuke Tamago, and mushrooms and it was delicious. The ramen-focused menu also features yakisoba noodles, donburi rice bowls, gyoza, baos, and more. The Sift Bakery: 5788 Stage Road Ste 1 Flame Ramenįlame Ramen opened a second location in the heart of downtown. The macarons, pastries, croissants, and more are almost too cute to eat. Start out with a fun salsa flight.Ĭhukis Tacos #2: 3445 Poplar Ave Suite 1 The Sift Bakery, BartlettĬredit: new bakery in Bartlett brings all the cuteness with its space and treat. The menu and beautiful restaurant space is an elevated experience compared to your favorite Mexican restaurant. The menu "is a celebration of traditional home-style Mexican recipes passed down through generations!"Ĭhukis Tacos #2: 3445 Poplar Ave Suite 1 Local Lime, GermantownĬredit: at Saddle Creek, Local Lime is a fresh cali-mix restaurant where margaritas and tacos are a key menu focal point. Chukis Tacos #2, East MemphisĬredit: new Mexican restaurant located in University Center Shopping Center. Schroomlicious is an all vegan story and like the name suggests - mushrooms are a speciality in their menu items from the mushroom wings, fried catfish sandwich (made with mushrooms), mushroom burgers, and more. It's so new we're still waiting to get a peak at their menu as they're in the soft opening stages.Ĭongregation Coffee: 3060 Forest Hill Irene Rd Shroomlicious Meals, CrosstownĬredit: starting out a few years back with pop-ups, Shroomlicious Meals has found a permanent home in the Crosstown neighborhood. The new building is open, spacious, and resembles a church from the exterior with little nods inside. Once the site of a church, the shop is named in that memory. Smurfey's Smokehouse: 149 Madison Ave Congregation Coffee, GermantownĬredit: new coffeeshop in Germantown pays homage to the space it sits in. Smurfey's is known for their loaded up potatoes, fries, nachos, and sandwiches. The storefront, located in downtown, will operate as a ghost kitchen where people can order online or in-person to take their meals to go. After 14 years as a food truck, Smurfey's Smokehouse has expanded to a brick and mortar.
